About Baby Turbans, Hats & Beanies

Snug little hats for every tiny head

Baby turbans, hats and beanies across soft stretch cotton and fine knit. Turbans give a finished look without a bow and sit flat enough for a car seat headrest, beanies handle the cold end, and the everyday hats cover the long stretch in between. Sizing runs newborn through toddler, with stretch built in rather than rigid bands.

This is the practical corner of the range. A hat quietly solves the two problems nobody warns you about: a small head that loses heat quickly, and hair that has grown in three different directions overnight. It also means one less decision at the front door, which on certain mornings is worth considerably more than the hat cost.

For the cold specifically, baby beanies go deeper on knit. For summer, sun hats and sun protection covers wide brims and UPF. If you would rather a bow on top, the full headbands and bows range is next door. Australian owned, shipped from Melbourne.

Questions, answered

How do I know which size to pick?
Measure around the head just above the ears and match that to the listed size, since head circumference varies far more between babies than age ever does. The stretch cotton styles are forgiving and cover a wide range, while the structured hats sit closer to their stated measurement. Caught between two sizes, take the larger one.
Will a turban stay on?
Better than most people expect. The turban styles are gathered at the front and elasticated through the back, so they grip the whole crown rather than perching on top of it. A determined toddler will remove anything eventually, but a turban survives a pram ride and a supermarket trip, which is the realistic bar.
Can these be worn for sleep?
No. Nothing on the head during sleep, hats and beanies included, since they can slip over the face or cause overheating. Current Australian safe sleep guidance is to keep the head uncovered in the cot. Dress the room temperature instead and save the beanie for the walk there and back.
