About Tiny Baby Bows

Made for the wispy stage

Tiny baby bows are the proportional answer to a very small head. A bow the size of a fist looks wonderful on a one year old and faintly ridiculous on a six week old, so this collection keeps everything scaled down: small knots, narrow bands, and fine cotton and nylon that sits flat rather than perched, across a long run of colours.

These are the ones for the hospital bag, the nappy bag and the glovebox. They weigh almost nothing, they do not slide around on a small head, and they turn a plain white onesie into an actual outfit in roughly two seconds, which matters considerably more than anyone admits on the days you have not managed a shower.

Once there is more hair to work with, the full baby headbands and bows range steps up a size, and the multipacks are the cheapest way to build a colour run. For newborn gifting, pair one with a comforter or browse our best sellers. Australian owned, shipped from Melbourne.

Questions, answered

How young is too young?
There is no lower age limit on the band itself, and plenty of these go straight into the hospital bag for day one photographs. The only real rule is supervision: a headband on a sleeping or unattended baby is not something we would recommend at any age. Put it on for the photo, the outing or the visitor, then take it off again.
Do tiny bows actually stay on?
Better than the large ones, which is counterintuitive but true. A small bow has very little leverage, so it does not tip or rotate around the head the way a chunky knot can when a baby turns against a bassinet mattress. The narrower band also sits closer to the hairline, where it is far less likely to be found and pulled.
Can I buy a matching set?
Yes, and it usually works out cheaper. The five packs arrive as a coordinated colour run rather than five of the same thing, which helps if you want a bow per outfit without choosing every shade individually. They also make a far tidier gift than a single bow in an envelope.
