About Silicone Baby Bibs & Feeding Sets

Rinse, shake, done

Silicone baby bibs and feeding sets in soft food grade silicone, BPA free and dishwasher safe throughout. The bibs carry a moulded catch pocket that holds whatever the mouth misses, and the plates and bowls suction to a tray hard enough to survive a two handed toddler test, which is the only benchmark that really counts.

The appeal here is maintenance. Fabric needs washing, drying and a spare in rotation, where silicone gets rinsed at the sink and goes straight back on. The colours sit at the soft neutral end rather than primary brights, so a high chair stops looking like a toy shop exploded across the kitchen.

For longer and messier sessions, the sleeved smocks and bibs cover far more ground, and the short sleeve smocks suit warmer days. The stacking cups in this range quietly double as bath toys. Australian owned, shipped from Melbourne.

Questions, answered

Is silicone safe for babies to chew?
Everything here is food grade and BPA free, which is the standard worth checking on anything that spends time in a mouth. Inspect each piece occasionally for nicks or tears, particularly around a bib's neck fastening, and retire anything damaged. Silicone is durable rather than indestructible, and a determined set of new teeth will eventually find the weak point.
Will the suction actually hold?
On a smooth, clean, dry tray, yes, and surprisingly well. On a textured or crumb covered surface, no. Wipe the tray first and press the base down firmly to push the air out. If a toddler is still getting it off, they have better leverage than the suction was designed for, which is a compliment to them rather than a fault.
Does silicone hold smells or stains?
It can pick up strong smells from curry or tomato, and occasionally a faint tint. Both usually lift with a hot dishwasher cycle, or a soak in warm water with bicarb if the smell is stubborn. An hour in the sun also works and costs nothing, which is the Australian solution to most problems.
