Baby Comforters

The softest little sidekick your baby will ever have. Our cotton baby comforters are designed to be cuddled, chewed, dragged around and loved to bits — the kind of first friend that goes everywhere bub goes.

Featuring our Twitch Bunny, Harry the Hippo, Leo the Lion and Benni Bunny in a range of gorgeous neutral tones, each comforter is made from premium cotton that's gentle on sensitive skin and safe for little mouths. Small and light for cuddles, the pram and supervised settling — and soft enough to become a treasured first friend.

Comforters are one of the most-loved newborn and baby-shower gifts — pair one with our baby headbands & bows for a complete new-baby present. New to comforters? Read our guide on when your baby can sleep with a comforter.

Q: When can a baby sleep with a comforter?

Red Nose Australia recommends keeping soft toys and comforters out of your baby's sleep space until they're at least 7 months old (corrected for prematurity), as soft items can cover a baby's face and increase the risk of suffocation. Red Nose also advises a clear sleep space for the first 12 months. Always follow current Red Nose safe-sleep guidance.

Q: Can I use a comforter from birth?

Yes — as part of a supervised settling routine. From birth you can cuddle the comforter while you feed, rock or read to your baby, then remove it before they're put down to sleep unattended. Many babies take comfort simply from seeing a familiar item nearby.

Q: Are your comforters safe for little hands and mouths?

Our comforters are made from soft, breathable cotton designed for little hands, with no loose beads, batteries or long cords. As with any comfort item, supervise your baby while they play, and follow the safe-sleep guidance above for the sleep space.

Q: How do I wash a baby comforter?

Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle and lay flat or line dry in the shade. Avoid bleach. We recommend buying a spare so there's always a clean one ready — a tip every parent learns fast.

Q: Which comforter should I choose?

It comes down to the animal and colour your family loves — Twitch and Thumper Bunny, Benni Bunny, Leo the Lion or Harry the Hippo, all in soft neutral and pastel tones. Many parents buy two of the same so one can always be in the wash.

Q: Do comforters make a good baby gift?

They're one of our most popular newborn and baby-shower gifts — practical, keepsake-worthy and loved for years.
